Hi Karen
You have been given some excellent guidance from mentors already. On additional thought for you to consider is to gain insight into your natural strengths and then build your career options from there. There are a number of assessments that will help you discover what strengths you possess naturally. My favorite is StrengthsFinder. The resulting report will share your top strengths and what that means to your career choices. This is a good barometer to help you find what strengths you possess and what skill sets come naturally to you. And it will help you to narrow or prioritize choices when options are presented to you.
Best wishes to you on your career journey.
Research strengths assessments to determine the right fit for you.
Take the assessment and review the resulting report for guidance on your career options.
Retain the report for future reference as your career path progresses or as you need to "come back to center."

It's a very important question. I usually ask students to to think about the following questions:
- What you like or dislike
- There are many career options available but are you inclined towards a particular field for e.g. I like to program software especially websites
- Recognize your strengths and weaknesses for e.g. I am very good at communication
Based on your the answers of above questions you can narrow down your career options. This is just one aspect of choosing your career, there can be other questions to think.
- Future growth
- Is the job industry profitable/sustainable
- Where would you like to see yourself in next 5 years etc.
I hope it helps.

If you really have no clue what would be a good fit for your career, then a good option to try is to search "career choices test". it will give you dozens of options of tests you can take that will give you a good direction. the different options depend on where you live and options you have, but I will say that as weird as it may sound, many of these tests do a very good job at giving you the direction of what would be a good fit.
