First ask yourself: Why do you want to be a doctor? Unless you're truly passionate, you will regret it. It should not be because you're smart, a hardworker, or you want to make money.
For the US: You would first need a college degree and perform exceptionally with diverse extracurriculars (non-academic). Then write the MCATs with great scores and apply to medical school. You will need to write the USMLEs during medical school to be able to apply for residency and practice medicine. You can also complete additional exams to improve your credibility (Board exams). But the education does not end there, you will need to continue your learning so you are aware of the latest techniques and procedures as well as renew your certifications.
Good luck!

Very glad to hear that you are very diligent and passionate about higher studies.
You need to have very excellent grades in high school as well as A’ levels in three subjects namely mathematics, physical science and life sciences.
Second is to attain grade in the eligibility test of your country.
For a career growth in Medical profession, there are many avenues you need to be aware about
1. Medical (General Physician)
1.1 Think about all specializations you see in hospitals - Gynaecology
1.2 Neuropathy
1.3 Orthopedic
1.4 and so on...
2. Alternate medicine like Homeopathy, Ayurveda etc.
Now, if you or your friends did not get enough out on grades, there are other avenues
1. Nursing
1.1 This includes both Male Nursing and Female Nursing
1.2 Lab assistants
2. Physiotherapist
3. Pharmacist
4. Radiologist, Dentist, Optometrist and so on...

Even think about being a Veterinarian!
Finally if you are not interested to actually operate upon living beings, look into Biotechnology which is a very diverse field ranging from Plant Biotechnology to Human and Industrial Biotechnology. Even if you still interested in Medical after deciding biotechnology, you can go in Health Biotechnology.
