Leroy’s Answer

Hi Maria, I enjoy creativity as well. If you don't know, I would explore what type of medium you enjoy creating in, canvas, wood, glass, clay, cardboard, etc.? And start working and improving in that medium. There are so many industries that develop new products, and need to create a prototype or sample, before investing in tooling or manufacturing. It could be architectural mockups for buildings/homes, or clay models for vehicles.

Hope it's helpful,
Leroy

LaTonya’s Answer

Hi Maria,
I want you to think back to when you were smaller. You played for hours and hours and got lost in time. What were you doing? What creative activity was it? Was it your center of joy? We all have a thread in life that gave us a starting point, and somewhere we got off track. Your young adult experience have provided more guidance to you. The key is to become aware of what gave you happiness and allowed you to help others with your solution. Any ideas?

Review schools such as Savannah School of Arts (SCAD) and the Arts departments of major colleges and universities to help generate a better direction of what you could do.

Much success to you!

The question is what industry you are interested in.
On the other hand, you may also need basic skills in the industry in order to demonstrate your creativity. E.g. If you like to develop your career in Technology, you may need acquire Technology knowledge first,

Traci’s Answer

Hi Maria! The very first thing I would suggest doing is to sit down with a pen and paper and make a list of the things you love to spend your time doing and the things you feel you are good at. Carefully look at your finished list and you may see exactly what you should do to follow your passion. Maybe you love music and are a very good piano player? Maybe you love art and are really good at painting? Maybe you love computers and you are very good with artistic software? There might be some career paths you are interested in that lead you to a creative school, like the famous Savannah College of Art & Design that offers so many different creative programs. Taking your passion and making it in to a career will be so rewarding for you. I wish you all the best!
