Hi Michael,
A licensed vocational nurse (LVN), also known as a licensed practical nurse (LPN), or vocational nurse, is someone who works in a hospital to care for disabled, sick, or otherwise injured patients. An LVN usually works under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN), a medical doctor, or a mid-level practitioner to offer primary bedside care for patients.
To become a vocational nurse, students will spend at least one to two years in a vocational nursing program and obtain a certificate, diploma, or associate degree in the field. You must also pass a licensure exam in order to practice.
Students can undergo formal vocational nursing programs in vocational schools and community colleges. During the program, students will receive training inside the classroom and outside, such as hands-on training in a clinical environment. Course offerings may include areas such as nutrition, anatomy, physiology, pediatrics, first aid, obstetrics, pharmacology, and patient care.

Hi. Yes there is. LVN-licensed vocational nurse. It is usually about a 16-18 month course. You will receive a diploma for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Check your local city for technical community colleges. Hope this helps.
