Is it worth to be a pediatrician compare to the cost?????????????

Is being a pediatrician worth it as 12 years of college after school . I know i can pass it but the cost it alot as-
4 years of college=$15000 per year*4=$60000
4 years of medical school=$50000 per year*4=$200000
Total cost is $260000
so we don't have this much money but is it easy to be a pediatrician. #doctor #teacher #college-bound #pediatrician #dentistry

When it comes in wanting to be a pediatrician or any kind of doctor I would say first find out if you really love that particular field . You can find if you love or are still interested in that field by shadowing a doctor or volunteering at a hospital. Having a lot of passion and love for this particular field is what really matters first then you can start thinking about money, because finding a job that you love is priceless. Although , there are scholarships out their that can help reduce the cost as well. Have you looked at Physician Assistant programs? They do very similar a doctor does accept the program is 2-3 years which can help reduce the costs. Overall, if you love this field and are very passionate about this field you will find scholarships or different financial aide options that can hep reduce your costs and help you reach your dream of being a pediatrician. Overall , from shadowing a doctor myself they told me that if you want to be a doctor don't do it for the money but do it for the people. :)

That is an excellent question and the answer would be, it depends. Going to a major metropolitan area to practice medicine would receive a higher salary and would probably be worth the college debt that you would accumulate. Conversely, going to a less developed area would leave you with a lower salary and that definitely might not be worth it. It's a very individual decision.
