I would highly recommend to look into your school's study abroad website! I'm currently studying in South Korea and it was all possible due to my school's programs. Theres also many resources that you can find online such as financial aid and scholarship. Start planning early!

I am delighted to hear that you would like to study abroad. You can learn how to live independently, learn another culture and make friends.
A couple of questions you may need to think about?
1. When do you want to study abroad? E.g. In College, High School, etc.
2. Where do you want to go? Which country?
3. How long you would like to study abroad?
4. What is the financial support? Will yourself and parents pay for your school fee and live?
These are important question you need to find out the answer. In addition to spending several years to study aboard, e.g. for your undergraduate course, you can consider to be an exchange students. This usually offers you to study in another country for 3 months to 1 year. You can check with your school if they have this arrangement.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Mickael’s Answer

Hi Maryna,

There are lot of points to consider to study aboard:
- First you need to know the immigration policies of the country you want to study in.
- Second, make sure you are fluent enough in the language to be able to follow courses in that language and interact with people
- Then think about the cost:
-- universities are usually more expensive for aliens than for residents
-- you need to pay for the full living cost in the money currency of the country you are living into; you may have hard time, if it is ever possible based on your visa, to get a job.
Then of course, you need to find the school (university, college) that you want to attend. And if you are able to get there, please keep immigration paper work and bureaucracy in some part of your head because some countries are really stringent.

Jordan’s Answer

Many colleges and universities offer study abroad. If you're in high school, I would research local colleges/universities to see which programs offer study abroad. If you're currently in college, I would reach out to your advisor and let the professor know your interests. The advisor may be able to assist and advise if the college offers a program. I know study abroad is a great opportunity and students do enjoy the experience.
