Amber’s Answer

The world force with a criminal justice degree is very broad. There are a variety of jobs you can look into with that degree such as: Probation/Parole officer
Detective
Correctional officer
Drug Enforcement Administrative Agent
Forensic Psychologist
Homeland security
911 operator
Correctional counseling
Victim advocate
& even head towards the direction of law school to work in the courts system.

For this major you should look more into networking with professors & gaining lots of experience with volunteering in any of those departments or gaining an internship. It will not be so difficult to find a job if you are passionate about it & interested in making connections with others in that same field.

The opportunities in the US with a Criminal Justice Degree.

Probation/Parole officer
Private detective
Correctional officer
Drug Enforcement Administrative Agent
Forensic Psychologist
Homeland Security Professional

It can be very challenging/competitive to land a job in law enforcement depending on the city/state.
It’s important to intern so you gain the experience and expand your resume. I know several people in law enforcement, and there were days when they felt they wanted to give up, but they didn’t allow anyone to discourage them from going after their dream. If criminal justice is your passion, continue that road to success.
