Cori’s Answer

From a colleague with administrative experience: In addition to your core nursing classes and programs, courses in business, healthcare administration, organizational management and leadership would all be helpful. Many times, an advanced degree is required or preferred for nursing administration positions.

Michele’s Answer

Clearly you need an RN degree, at least a bachelors but what you need to go easily into admin is a BA in management
There are other ways to go but they take more work and are not as reliable
A degree in nursing and in management will get you there
The RN first then while an RN let your job pay for your admin
The higher the TN degree the better but bachelors in each should get you there, we learn soooo much more from experience but it’s what they look for in the beginning
