Hi Michelle! When it comes to art there's no time like the present to practice your craft and study the fundamentals (anatomy, perspective, color theory) as it also applies to tattoo art. Clients will be looking for a wide variety of art styles so the more you can learn and experiment now, the more of a payoff it will be in the future. As far as gaining experience, many people need to apprentice at tattoo parlors and work their way up to tattooing clients. This would be something I would recommend researching as it would be specific to your area.

Hi Michelle,
It really depends on the size of the tattoo you get on how long it will take to complete. I would say on average you can expect it to be anywhere from 30 minutes to 5 hours but this could vary greatly depending again on the size and also how fast your artist works.
