Justin’s Answer

There are many opportunities with a career in welding. Once you graduate high school, attendance of a welding school will provide you with a basic welding skill set in less than one year. From that point, it is really up to you on how much time you'd like to spend developing your craft.

There are many types of welding techniques and specialty metals that require differing level of specialization and certification. The ability to weld at these higher levels of expertise also command a much higher wage. Depending on the situation and the industry chosen to service (i.e. marine, oil and gas, petrochemical, etc.), some welders go on to own their own companies with numerous welders hired under them.

Best of Luck!!

Welding engineering at best is a four year certification program. And can take a few years. To get confirmation in welding degree programs, you require a solid science and maths foundation and a high school diploma or an overall instructive improvement affirmation
