Yes. Dell is a great company to join. Our company have campus hiring each year. New hires are put into a year rotation program. You get a little taste of a four function areas of finance you are interested in. In that one year it's also a great networking opportunity. You will get to know people in different team, also have chance to present in front of leadership team. I highly recommend it!
Thank you comment icon HI Jian, this is interesting but doesn't answer the student's question. I think they want to know more about orgs they can join while still in school (ex: clubs, associations, etc) Gurpreet Lally, Admin

Hi!

People do not belong to such organizations, because they are expected to belong. They belong to such organizations, because they help them to keep educated in the career area and allow them to create and maintain helpful professional relationships.

Emily’s Answer

Hi Abdulwahab,

There a few different directions depending on the focus of your degree and what you are interested in:
- Financial services e.g. banks, investment banks, investment management companies, hedge funds, payments.
- Financial services regulators - local or European e.g. in Brussels
- Financial industry associations e.g. banking associations
- Consultancy firms

If you want to pursue accountancy, you should look at an accountancy firm or an accountancy department in a financial services firm, consultancy or even a government department (this last one is especially good if you are interested in a career in government more broadly as you could move into other areas later on). A bit later in your career there would be the option to move to a finance department in a whole range of large companies, but they might be less likely to fund the qualifications you will want to get early in your career.

A good aspect of the types of companies above is that they will often have graduate schemes - this is usually a really good way to experience different roles and get qualifications and skills training.

Hope that helps and good luck!

Rebecca’s Answer

Almost all business organizations need Finance professionals. However, Banks, Financial Institutions, accounting firms, etc. have the high demand on Finance professionals indeed. It depends on your interest to develop your finance career on what kind of industries.

You can do some research on the industry you are interested on. Also, you can try to apply some internship in finance department of different companies. This can help you to understand the daily life and actual work in finance and determine what area you like to further develop your career.

Hope this helps!
