This degree could be the base of so much more opportunities. But if you do not like numbers or are not passionate about accounting. Do not do it. So many students change paths halfway in or wait until it is too late.

If accounting is something that you do not like, I would say to not do it. I knew going into school, I wanted to be an accountant and graduated with a degree in accounting. I only worked in the field for five years. It was by chance that I was interviewing with a Chief Financial Officer who asked if I wanted to learn something new and my career in Application Support (IT) started.

Devote your energy to something you will enjoy. Even with your degree your career path might change along the way but what better way to start than with something that you enjoy!

Accounting is not just numbers, but also includes a lot of memorization. There are lot of what called "accounting rules" you have to understand and memorize. You said you like drama and eat. We are in a very technological advance world with many ways to make money. Have you thought about being a yourtuber? You can google, or research more about it. What else do you think you like? While people may suggest you pursue something you like, I would strongly recommend an individual must have a balance between what you like to do and what the reality is. At end of a day, you are responsible for your financials and may have to support your family, too. Also, what may be current and hot today do not mean Identify and leverage your strength wisely, and find some opportunities to practice and unleash these characters. For instance, get a part time job, you will then learn more about yourself and what you like to do better. Hope this helps.

Hi! I understand that maths is not your choicest subject and yet you have taken up accounting since your mother graduated in the subject, and also that you like to challenge yourself which is a brave thing and people often don't.
That said, you might like to check your progress as you challenge yourself pursuing the subjects. Does it help you like the subject in the process? Understand the fundamentals and necessity of these subjects?
One challenges to work on something because despite the fact he or she is not good at, but has a zeal and to showcase that he or she can get better at it eventually.
If you have that belief and willingness to do, please pursue but also remember that there are various other options that can suit your passion and interest to pursue as a career.
If you wish to pursue accounting, you may as well check the level of mathematics required. For instance there are different types of accounting requiring different levels of mathematics.
Hope it helps! 😊
