Brandon’s Answer

For a mechanic you normally have to have a high school diploma and know somewhat about auto repair. From their you would need to go to a secondary or vocational training. While for some shops it is not required to have a secondary school or vocational training, having one will increase your chances of getting a better paying job. Some education and/or training can have on the job training, allowing you to learn more in depth concepts than what is taught in a classroom setting. It is said that certification from the National Institute for Automotive Excellence is standard if you want to get a job in mechanics.
