Christine’s Answer

Insurance companies will. ask all the routine questions. Review your resume. Decide what you are going to day about your strength and weakness.( Remember to flip your weakness. using bit or however and staying how you compensate)
For the specific interview you should research the company and familiarize yourself with insurance terms , job titles and what skills you have that make you a great candidate.
Good Luck!

Jessica’s Answer

Hello Thulani!

Depending on the area of the business that you are interviewing for the interview may differ. For example, if you are interviewing for the sales department of insurance the questions may be tailored to how you communicate with prospects or examples of how you have closed a difficult sale. If you are interviewing for a position in the operations department, the questions may be tailored towards how well you work independently or under direct supervision as well as questions related to teamwork. In both cases it is important to be able to provide specific examples to each question instead of answering in generalities.

Taylor’s Answer

Hi Thulani - it's great that you are preparing for this interview! If I were you, I would be prepared to walk through your resume and be able to speak to each educational item and work experience item that you have listed. I'd be prepared for behavioral type interview questions that focus more on your development and interests as well as situational questions such as "If XYZ happened, how would you address that?" Also, based on the type of role, they might ask you application type questions such as "A customer reaches out with XYZ question. How would you respond or what solution would you offer to the customer?" I also recommend doing a mock-interview if you can. This could be with a coach, friend, family member or peer. They can ask you questions and you can practice the response so you feel more comfortable with the actual interview. Best of luck and I hope this helps!

Keana’s Answer

This is a great question. I think anytime you're preparing for an interview its best to gain as much knowledge about the position as possible. Once you do that tailor your resume a bit to the position you're applying for. Most of the time the questions you're going to be asked are the standard interview questions about your strengths and weaknesses etc. Be sure to remain positive and I always suggest answering question with the STAR format.
