Dear Mkaila- I wondered when I read your question about what makes you want to be a neonatal nurse practitioner or an OB/GYN? These are very specific fields that do have lots of math and science in them-- but I think it REALLY depends on your MOTIVATION to do something that determines your success or not. So, if you are very driven to become one of these specialists, I think you should work DILIGENTLY to improve your science studies. When you REALLY strive for your goal, then you want to work on it-- and it makes you a much better student. There is some math in these specialties-- but LOTS of science as it relates to how our bodies work! You will need to understand Anatomy and Physiology as well as Microbiology so you can understand how microorganisms affect our bodies and cause illness. You may have some struggles- but your determination can get you thru! Take the time to ask your instructors for more help- Ask your teachers when you don't understand. You can build on this information and get better and better! Don't rule it out if it interests you- but realize that you must do the work to get there!
