What is the longest process of getting in college?

Im asking this question because i want to go to college. #college

Thank you comment icon Hi RonDasha! As Kristi says, the longest process really is high school. You have to maintain a good GPA, do well on your SATs/ACTs, and participate in extracurricular activities, as colleges like to look for those in candidates. When you apply for college, you are essentially putting down all of your achievements, which is the easy part. If you need any help applying for colleges, feel free to let me know and I can give you some pointers! Albert

Kristi’s Answer

Hi RonDasha,

The longest process is high school!!! Maintaining a good GPA, doing well on your college entry exam, doing community service and other school activities are all part of the college process. Applying for college is the easy part. You can apply to most online. Completing your financial aid form may take some time. You will need you parents' tax information. But that can be done online also... the sooner, the better. Just make sure you meet all deadlines. Good Luck!

Kristi had some great advice. I would add, talk to your high school's guidance counselor. He or she is an expert in this process, and can help you through it. There is a lot of paperwork, but the real work is staying focused and getting good grades in high school.
