My favorite part of work is collaborating with people who are all driven by a cause they care about. Right out of college I was a teacher in NYC. The teachers I worked with were so motivated to improve student outcomes and help their students succeed. It was so exciting be surrounded by people who cared so much about their students. It made me feel like what I was doing each day was important! What worked for me was finding a cause I was passionate about and finding a career that I could be surrounded by like-minded people. This made even the exhausting days of work worth it!

Work has given me a sense of accomplishment. I am in telecommunications sales. I have won a handful of sales awards over the years and also some fabulous trips, all of which have helped me develop confidence. I also like my coworkers.

I love the people I work with. I work for a company that hires people who are caring, passionate, and intelligent. There is always someone willing to help me or point me in the right direction if I have a question or need assistance. Company culture is something I look at when I am looking for a job because the people and management can make or break a career experience.

Financial Advisor - The best part of my career is that whatever you put in you will get out. If you work very hard you will be rewarded, if you don't you'll see the exact returns. In this career if you do well and build strong relationships with clients you can have flexibility with your work hours, office time, etc. For me it's attractive to have the opportunity to do very well but also have a work/life balance.

The most fulfilling part of my job is graduating students. At the end of each term, I have the opportunity to certify degrees and certificates for students that make a difference in their personal lives and careers. I know how hard students work to earn their degrees and to be a part of the process feels enriching.
