Which is a more profitable trade, welding or plumbing??
Im 22, a student at guthrie job corps center, im trying to make a decision as to what trade path to take #career-choice #student #career #job

The real question is - Do you want to wear a heavy helmet and stare at a high-heat, blinding light while welding together steel to make cool stuff and not have "emergency" welding calls OR do you want to deal with water, sewer, and have the potential to be on-call for emergency plumbing issues?
Both offer great compensation as there are more job openings than there are skilled workers in both of these professions. So, either one will give you a comfortable living, PROVIDED you work hard and get your required licenses/experience needed in your work location.
Just all depends, at the end of they day, what elements you would rather deal with....

It depends on the type of welding and the area in which you do it.
For example underwater welding will yield a high return but it also comes with high risk.
