What will put me on the right path for being a Occupational Therapy Assistant
Hi my name is Chris Singletary. I am a student at Job Corps and I am reaching out to you guys because I believe I would enjoy a career in being a Certified Medical assistant and I would appreciate your perspective on the practical aspects of working in this area.

I agree with all of Nia's suggestions. I do, however, note that your interest is in becoming a medical assistant; there are many types of medical assistant. OT assistant is only one type. I would suggest that you contact OT assistants working near you and google OT assistant to get a more complete idea of the activities of an OT assistant to make sure that these activities are of interest to you

To become an occupational therapy assistant, you should look for programs are Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)-accredited for their occupational therapy assistant program, then prepare to pass the national certification exam administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, and attain licensure as required by your state.
Boston University, Colorado State, and USC have ACOTE programs.
