Great question...having been working in the same field for over 20 years one may think that your job or role becomes less complex. That may be the case for some core aspects of my role but the environment continually changes around you which will continue to make a job complex...or certainly put you in a position where you come up against complex situations.
I work in the financial industry...an industry that continues to evolve from a technology, regulatory, market & client expectations standpoint. Although it may sound hokey i always approach my job being open to learning something new every day. Be very open to change....and maybe take that a step further and expect change or drive change.
To answer your question...
I expect complexities because of the constant changes in my environment, i like to challenge the complexities - see if i can solve by myself ...but i will never hesitate to reach out and have others help solve for or with me.
I like to plan my days out, im not naturally organized so i feel i need to create my own structure...and part of that structure for me is building in contingencies when i come up against something i cant solve by building out a network and knowing where to go to get help.
I hoep this goes someway to answering your question
Good Luck

Neil
