What's the lifestyle of an entrepreneur look like? That's exactly the beauty of being an entrepreneur - it looks like what YOU want it to look like. Want to make gobs of money - it looks like countless hours of hard work on top of all the hours you've already scheduled. It might look like missing kids' activities, family dinners, vacations, etc. Want a lifestyle business? You may not make as much money, but you can create the schedule you desire.
I have been an entrepreneur in both of the above, and loved both of them. The key is, when you're losing sight of your goal, or you don't think it's for you, don't wait too long to make a change.
Good luck to you! So much excitement ahead.

Being your own boss. Sounds good but it has its downsides as well. Instead of being at the mercy of your supervisor, you are at the mercy of your clients. You are constantly having to hustle because business will only come if you go looking for it. Nothing is easy, a lot of entrepreneurs fail in their ventures.

Entrepreneurship, truly, is a long, hard, tough journey. However, it can be a lot of fun along the way. Find something that you are passionate about, something that will solve a problem and gives you a sense of purpose. If you're just in it to make money, you're not going to be happy, and probably won't do very well. If you have a problem you're dedicated to solving, then the money will come, but you'll enjoy what you're doing a whole lot more. A great source for the good, bad, and ugly of entrepreneurship is the Zero to Somewhere podcast. However, reach out to entrepreneurs in all different lines of businesses to find out why they got involved in what they're doing. Ask all the questions, and do your research.

Hi Beverly:
To succeed as an entrepreneur, you need to:
1. Focus most of your time on your chosen product, service, or solution.
2. Be agile so that if #1 is not succeeding, you can quickly adjust it
3. Understand that work/life balance will be very difficult for the founder of any startup. So, try to 'recover' by taking breaks, exercising, having a group of family/friends you can rely on, and get good sleep
Hope this helps.
