Hi Adrian.
In your area there is likely an organization that can help you. It's probably something like the Associated General Contractors. Organizations like this offer education and up-skilling through apprenticeship programs in multiple trades. They would certainly be able to offer you some guidance on what is required. Also, you may consider talking to one or more general contractors and ask them how they got their start. I would consider what it is that got you interested in this field. If there's someone you know who does this kind of work, start with them and ask them questions, maybe even plan to do some work with them to gain experience and learn about the field. That should help you get some information to get started. Good luck!
