Visit the bls.gov website to access the Occupational Outlook Handbook. Type in chiropractor on the Search line. Presto!!! You will see everything you want to know about being a chiropractor such as the long term outlook for the profession, typical salaries, regional variations in pay, ideal courses/majors, etc. Visit indeed.com for comments about the field from people currently working in it such as working hours, benefits, etc. Many chiropractors in New York have their offices in their own homes/brownstones and enjoy a feeling of independence that comes from working for themselves.

Hi Simon,
According to Northwestern, here is what you need to become a chiropractor:
"Becoming a chiropractor requires attending chiropractic school, earning a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, passing a series of exams administered by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and securing licensure in the state, province, or relevant jurisdiction where you plan to practice."
Here is their site, if you'd like to learn more: https://www.nwhealth.edu/blog/how-to-become-a-chiropractor/#:~:text=Becoming%20a%20chiropractor%20requires%20attending,where%20you%20plan%20to%20practice.
I hope this helps.
Best of luck!
