Hey Daniel, putting aside things like work ethic and degrees. Learn how to replace an outlet and light switches, if you can do that you can already be an apprentice where I am haha. Beyond that being a good electrician involves a whole lot of safety and taking your time. The reason it takes so long to work on something is every single wire you touch can not alive you so checking for power, shifting breakers, not breaking wires in the wall, not causing a fire. Safety and taking your time is what makes you a good electrician. You will absolutely be pressured to go outside of those two things but never compromise those values as one will not alive you and the other will cause you to lose your job at worst or cause a lot of rework at best.
