I was asked to project manage the traveling Bible exhibit in Atlanta, GA in 96 hours. This was set up in an old Home Depot building and we have 4 days to pull permits, gather the material and get it all set up and then tear it down after a 2 week exhibit. It was exciting for 2 reasons - 1 it was chaos (which I thrive in) and it was crazy and every minute was a new challenge, but also it was an honor to protect sacred pieces that were irreplaceable. And YES - I pulled it off with the help of putting together an amazing team and working about 18 hour days and having installers working round the clock with 3 shifts engaged so we were always working on it.

Congratulations on choosing welding as your career! My son owns a shop and has indicated it is hard to find good welders, so you are in a good position for a great career. For your question: during the pandemic, my son's shop stayed open the entire time as they provided services and repairs for some of the largest companies providing material goods necessary for us all: paper goods, food, etc. It was awesome because they played a part in keeping our stores stocked with necessities and essentials. Good luck to you!
