What I love most about my job in nursing is the variety and diversity of types of work I have been able to do over the span of my entire career. Nursing is just great like that: You can either decide to mix it up and try new things periodically (if you're the type of person who craves new challenges) or, conversely, you can really hone in and specialize, becoming really qualified in a niche.

I love the many opportunities nursing offers. My nursing career has changed and grown with my as my family has. Working bedside initially I would strongly recommend as this gives a great base for learning. From there the sky is the limit! I have done home care and case management and now in an administrative position developing programs for a health plan. I have truly enjoyed each of my roles and have no regrets in my nursing career choice!

I have many nurse friends and they love that they are able to help people everyday. Even simple things like getting someone a cup of water when they are thirsty is such a satisfying feeling. Your job is to make people better and it is extremely noble :) I think that most jobs lack that sort of positivity so its awesome that nursing provides that.
