Hi there, it is so wonderful to hear that you have such a particular interest in the healthcare field. Anesthesiology is quite a competitive field, whether you are thinking of becoming a specialized doctor or even a technician. It also requires a lot of hands-on skills as you would be performing quite a number of procedures. Some of the soft skills I would highly recommend to continue sharpening them throughout your early days: leadership, communication, work ethic/interpersonal skills, quick decision making along with responsibility. Strong commitment and compassion toward the field are also important to consider as you go along. Best of luck to you in the future!!!

Allessandra, it's so awesome that you're in the ninth grade and you already know what you want to do. I can imagine that studying how to deliver anesthesia to people is going to be a lot to study. It is important to take high school seriously and aim to get good grades. High school is setting you up for getting into a great college and achieving your dreams. Some skills that are required to be an anesthesiologist are critical thinking, reading comprehension, science, and time management. Good luck!
