It's rewarding but difficult work, and you have to interface with a lot of people (which may or may not be good for you depending on where you are in the Autism spectrum). You may also want to consider a specialty within the film industry, like film criticism, editing or library operations, where you don't have to be as people-oriented; that said, there are quite a few successful filmmakers who are Autistic and manage to get by quite well.
Good luck in your career! I hope you find a spot that works just for you!

Hi Hope,
I suppose it depends on what you want to do within Film. I have known three people who have worked for Disney. They all worked in Animation, some in support production and some in screen writing. You should think a little bit about what you want to do in Film. What skills do you already have that you think you could apply to a film. It can be anything from writing, to acting, to making music or being an agent. There are many job roles for you to consider.
