Hi there Macey!
An average day would vary depending on where you worked. Hospital nursing looks different than doctors office nursing looks different than school nursing. In the ER there are a wide range of emotions from a variety of ages (newborn to teens) and lots of popsicles & stickers compared to working with adults. It’s never boring and many times I’m dancing and cheering like a kid myself in a room to assist with the young ones take medication or singing songs with hand motions to help them feel better. Pediatrics is a great nursing specialty for anyone who loves and is in touch with their inner child.

A day in the life of a pediatric nurse is never boring. Pediatric nurses care for patients from newborns to teens, treating a variety of illnesses and injuries. Take a look at the many tasks pediatric nurses may encounter throughout their days. Nurses receive their expected patient load each day and organize their time in often busy institutions.
