Patrick’s Answer

It depends. if you are working for a team, you can be working nights and weekends often. but if for a league or media company for example, it can be a normal 9-5* type job. I'd say the industry is harder working given the appeal of the industry.

Tess’s Answer

Hi Cailen,

I think that you should expect a regular working day, but there are sporting events and marketing events that you should probably expect to be at. I would say that these may be outside of a 9-5 schedule.

Hope this helps.

Dr Daryna’s Answer

Hi Cailen! Most marketing roles are a 9-5 job, but it also does depend on the chosen industry. Sports marketing working hours can be affected by specific events, press conferences and other online and offline engagements you might need to attend, participate in and highlight. I would suggest researching professionals in this area on LinkedIn and reaching out to get their insight on the topic.

Dr Daryna recommends the following next steps:

Research sports marketing professionals on LinkedIn & reach out
Research & join sports marketing professional groups on LinkedIn for further insight
