What are the drawback from having a job in the maintenance careers

You are on 24/7. If something breaks at 2AM you are getting the phone call. There is flexibility in that but it can also be a drawback

The same as Dawns answer. You always have to be ready for that call at odd hours. However, there is overtime to made here, so that may play into your decision.

One drawback that I can think of is that sometimes the work can get monotonous and boring. But, when you have problems and overcome them it is very rewarding .
