Rod’s Answer

Very often in the IT field you find yourself choosing a path between technical management and non-technical management. Both require keeping up with he latest technical trends however technical management means keeping your hands in the code. Depending which of these you choose there are several great options for IT managers both in and out of IT. As an IT manager your core skill set is logistics and problem solving which are highly sort after skillsets. It leans itself to entrepreneurial opportunities, teaching, corporate leadership and so many more areas. I plan to retire from this field and perhaps teach or give back to my local community
