Hello, Conner!

Well, this is a great question. What I consider a good career is one that excites me and gets me up in the morning. It's the one I am happiest doing. The best career for you would be the one that you are the most curious about, that has learning levels, and fun! How do you find that career?

Well, what did you love doing when you were 5 or 6 or 7? There's some hint there.

What type of movies do you love to watch, again and again? There's a hint there.

Do you see yourself in an office, in the woods, in a zoo, in a hospital, in a farm, in space?

What books do you enjoy reading? There's a hint there.

What do people think you're naturally good at? hint. hint. hint.

When people ask you for help, what are they asking for? hint. hint hint.

What do you love to do when you are alone? more hints.

Follow the clues of your life....the teachers you resonate with, the things you love, the stuff in your room you've collected -- all of these are hints to what would be the most amazing career for you.

Good luck!

Hello!

Great question :). My definition of a good career encompasses the following:

1. It is sustainable, you have longevity and growth
2. Work life balance, you can spend time living and working
3. Stable income, standard of living
4. You enjoy it!!

Hope this helps.

Best of luck!

Ing. David Francis’s Answer

Good Morning, a good career does not need to follow the norm. Just follow what makes you happy. Do not seek money or status, seek what makes you look forward to get up from the bed in the morning, inspire you to be a better person and that you feel you are making a valuable contribution, towards society and towards others. Put down onto a piece of paper all the things that makes you happy and list down what jobs can relate to that. Never give up in finding your calling and keep working hard. Take care stay safe.

Jay’s Answer

Hey CA!

I think the important thing to realize here is this will vary wildly by person. A good career for me might not be a good career for you. There are many things to consider, and for me I like to consider the lifestyle you want to live, where do you want to be at work all day? Are you ok being in front of a computer all day? Do you want to interact with people, do you want to be inside/outside, do you want to work from home, do you mind working nights/weekends? These are things that will affect your life every day. Ultimately you want a career you enjoy, that gives you some fulfilment, and also gives you the opportunity to spend time with your friends and family or whatever else may be important to you outside of your career.

Hopefully that helps!
