If you're really a beginner try scratch.mit.edu. I love Scratch for kids! My kids were able to make their own basic games and see how other people made their games. It's free and on the web!

You can also try developing your own Roblox "experience"--the development kit is available to download for free. You can work with a lot of pre-built elements to get a quick start. But I've tried it and it's not that easy, but at least I could create a basic "land" and players could run around in it and use various weapons that were pre-built. Search for YouTube video tutorials.

Minecraft for Java can also be "modded" using some tools available for free, though the game itself costs some money. Again, not so easy for a novice but you can search for YouTube video tutorials.

Plenty of kids are asking, so search for similar questions and their answers here on careervillage.org

Hi Kelvin,

Coding Languages that have a rich library like Python are good for beginners because development is very easy. There are many libraries in python that are ready for use.

Udemy and Pluralsight are two of the many platforms that provide courses which show how a problem statement is implemented in a certain coding language.

One way to progress on the coding path would be to implement a project. It will give you an end to end understanding of the problem statement and the solution. You will find many such projects if you search on any search engine.

Hope this helps. Wish you all the best on your coding journey.
