Do research on where you want to go... lots of research! Keep in mind that you're going to be living there for the next four years, so choose wisely. Also tour the campuses and see which one you feel fits best for you!

FYI, My son has the similar challenges now -- as he is completing his IGCSE soon. Next Step is either college or stay put in the current school to complete his A level. Sharing on from what my son did --- he cannot decide which course ie Science or Business -- as he has no preference yet. He is ware Math and Design & Technology are his favorite subjects that he wanted to pursue next. So he decided to continue his A level with Math, Design and Technology and Economics.
I would suggest you look on what are your interests in your studies that you would like to pursue ie which college best suit what you want. Most important as per what the few suggestions earlier --look with open mind and stay true to what you prefers.
If you already the offer to the college that you love, best that you can do -- have an open heart to know new friends, open heart to learn new things and open heart to accept any new things that comes along the way.

Congrats on this new and exciting journey!
If you have an interest in a certain area of study, I'd recommend looking up colleges/universities based on that as the main criteria. Second, already accept that the first year of college tests/exams are going to be hard. Figure out your study style during your first year of college. It's ok to fail and retake classes, but if you can save some time by figuring out the best way you can study, then do it. Learn how your mind works. Third, balance social life and studying time! I have made some great lifelong friends during my college years. Be there for each other and support each other's goals!
Most importantly, have fun!

There are many aspects to getting prepared for college. First of all do you know what degree you want to achieve? If not, I suggest that you talk to your guidance counselor and your various teachers and ask them all kinds of questions to help them provide you with advice from their perspective since the know you. Once you've identified what degree you want then its a matter of researching the various colleges and universities to identify which one you want to go to. There are many things that will go into you choosing which college to go to. Finances play a part but if that isn't an issue for you, then you want to visit as many colleges/universities as you can to get a feel for do you prefer larger campuses or smaller campuses or something in between.
To help you get used to meeting new people and making friends, you can join clubs and/or do sports with groups outside of your current school.
If finances are an issue, look at working part time while you are currently in school to save up for college (summer camp counseling is also a good way to make money AND get used to making new friends all the time.)
Talk to alumni - especially those who are freshmen in college and return to your school say to visit and/or attend sporting events. They can give you insight on the challenges they face(d)....remember challenges are different for each person.
Learn to plan and become very organized as you will need to ensure you can complete everything timely and as accurately as possible and there will be nobody there holding your hand and asking you if you've completed "x" or "y" yet.
Attend some sports events at your local colleges and sit in the student section. This will give you opportunity to talk to some of the students.
Most of all...have fun! It can be exciting to be focused on moving onto college. Good luck!
