Hi! It's important to note that many brands like Champion and Nike have massive social budgets, which unfortunately is essentially a prerequisite for Facebook, and to a lesser extent Instagram. TikTok is still relatively democratized, but something to consider.
Otherwise, here are some best practices for social media:
1) You need to determine your niche and your niche audience. I'd advise on focusing on one that is not oversaturated and something you can speak to with authority.
2) Whatever social platform you decide to use, you need to post consistently and frequently. Think of social media as TV programming—there needs to be consistency for followers to know that they'll regularly be getting something of value.
3) Whenever a platform introduces a new feature, use it! They want their new feature—think of Instagram reels or YouTube stories—to succeed. Thus, they will prioritize that content. Furthermore, take advantage of native features and interactive features. Interactivity with your content is more engaging and will keep people with your posts longer.
4) You are absolutely fighting for people's limited attention spans. If you're creating video—get to the chase right away. Do not use phrases—like stop scrolling or anything of the sort—you're just wasting time to capture someone's attention. Historically, you have 3 seconds to capture someone's attention on social media. Don't waste it.
5) If you're creating graphics, create them for mobile and make sure they take up as much of a person's screen as humanly possible.
6) Sounds like a no brainer, but make sure your content has value and shareability. Instagram currently ranks content based on how often posts get saved by a user. With that in mind, information that can be used as reference later on is an easy win. Think glosssaries and how-to's. For instance, I am into astrology, so posts labeling what different moon cycles mean is content I personally have saved for future reference.
7) Think of what people would search for (Google or otherwise) to land on your brand. Create information-based content accordingly.
8) Remember that captions should add context to a graphic. Keep search terms (trending topics, what people would be searching for to find your content, etc.) in the captions so the algorithm can rank it and it will show up in search.
Hope that helps, and good luck!
P.S. Do not buy followers—they are bots and you'll be building your brand on a foundation of sand. Work on community management so they are quality followers—comments (aside from saves) are king in terms of ranking content.

Hi Benjamin - Depending on the type of Brand Awareness you are wanting to create, there are different avenues to support building "your brand."
First - if you are building a person brand, ask yourself who is the audience you are trying to have see your content? If you are into marketing (especially in a social media-style setting), it would be great to take advantage of Kelly's Social Strategy advice.
If you are looking to professionally build your brand, I would suggest finding the right platform to start creating content and building out your network. A great business platform is LinkedIn. Beginning connecting with people in the industry that you know, want to know, or have similar interests as you. Look at what people/companies they are following to understand how you and your network may be connected to someone at the company you one day want to work for. Connect with people at that company.
If you feel you have great content to share on projects you have done, post those in your LinkedIn profile. Utilize the space as your online resume, and don't be shy about connecting.
Many people get hired at companies because they know someone that works there and are able to give a referral to that company in support of your hire. Utilize your relationships to help build your brand as well as building out content in the space best-suited for what you would like to do as a business-person.

Hi!
Here is a quick answer for ya!
Brand awareness is all about consistency. Have a clear vision for your brand, including messaging, assets, etc. Think about who you need the product/services and have a clear message to what would drive them to use the product/service. With these things, you'll then begin to build brand awareness by marketing through different channels to reach your audiences.

Benjamin,
Great question!
The first thing is to very clear about your product and its attributes. You can create your brand awareness strategy around that and make it powerful and most important consistent. Brand awareness is how a customer recognizes your brand and product from competitors so consistency across channels is key. The other aspect is the strategy where, how and when you will be marketing to your audience. Nowadays having an all encompassing digital marketing strategy is best way to create and increase brand awareness towards a business. It is cost effective and accessible to all (i.e. social media channels).

Great question Benjamin ! Brand awareness ... Well , first you need to be very passionate about the product you'd be representing. I'm speaking from personal experience. Having the ability to speak in front of others about the product is very important. Take some extra speech classes. You may be doing this already. However, the more you speak in front of others now, the easier it will be down the road when you're trying to build that "brand". You'll need to speak fluently about the product. You'll need to know the type of audience you're speaking to. You'll also need to learn how to be an expert in utilizing all peripheral tools designed to help you build that "awareness". Whether you're showing metrics through i.e. excel , typing out a message to a client via Outlook , speaking to clients using Power point and utilizing marketing materials from the company. This will help you to the build that brand awareness. Good luck and I hope that helps a little!

Hi Benjamin, it is so great that you already thinking to learn about brand awareness. Practically anything that we do, we need brand awareness.
Adding to all the great advices above from personal to social media, one of the most importance is understanding the product that you are selling. Brand awareness is also product education. You are teaching the consumers/ clients about your product:
-Who need this product?
- How is the benefit of using/purchasing this product and the end result?
- What kind of challenges can your product help to solve in the consumer life- the features and attributes?
- When do you use it?
-Where can you get this product?
Good luck with your venture!
