Hi Isaiah,
I totally agree with Michael, a business degree is a great place to start, giving you a good foundation. However what you do with it and that very first role or internship will dicate your next steps. If you are unclear in where you interests lie, you can use the skills based questionaires in What Color is your Parachute (or equivalent) to try determine in which field or fields you have interets. Then excellent recommendation to find someone to job shadow, think about an internship at the end of your primary degree, this is also an excellent way to figure out what type of company or in which field you would like to work.
Think about specific companies you are interested in, check out if they have internship programs and follow up before graduating

Hi Isaiah! I hope you are doing great,
The answers above are all great, I agree with Michael and Michelle when they state that this kind of degree is a great place for you to start and build a career from there.
The perks of studying a business degree is that you have many many opportunities to find a job in different industries.
To have some advantage over the other students (I bet there are many of us out there) I really recommend for you to get a masters or some other kind of postgraduate diploma maybe an MBA.
I really hope that you find my answer useful and don't hesitate to ask again!
Best of lucks!

I believe the way to look at your degree is it is the key to the door that will let you into the room. You decide what room you want to go into. I will tell you in my 35 years of business, most people do not go into what they planned to or what their degree is in. Why? Opportunities aren't always linear. Meaning, different doors open up at different times for different reasons. You need to decide what makes you happy or how do you want to spend your days? Do you like thinking big picture strategy or doing tasks, working with people or managing projects. Do a little soul searching and then seek out your field of interest.

Hi Isaiah,
A business degree is a great degree for opening many career opportunity doors but is also not very specialized, meaning you'll be competing with many others who also have a similar business degrees. A business degree can lead to being considered for many roles including general management, business analyst, business consulting, marketing, sales, accounting, financial planning, HR, etc. I personally received a technical degree first (mechanical engineering) and then went back to get my MBA after working for several years. If you start with a business degree, I would encourage you to focus on a particular area given the many different directions you can take this degree. Just know that if you pick a 'lane' and don't like it, it's easy to switch gears without having to go back to school for more degrees.
Pick the business field you find most interesting and go find a family member or friend to job shadow
