Academy of Art University in San Francisco is also good, not quite first tier, but better than second for film fashion.
for Cosmetology, Aveda, Paul Mitchell, or check this link- https://successfulstudent.org/best-cosmetology-programs/
btw, a Texas Cosmetology License is accepted in most states, and some other countries too.

Hi Zachary, As far as schools- there's Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Pratt, Parsons and LIM all in NYC. Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Rhode Island, Savannah College of Art and Design (Georgia), Otis and Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles. I'm sure that there are others but these have been top rated schools for many years now. The faculty have hands on experience in what they teach, having worked in their given filed. I'm pretty sure that financial aid is available!!

Hi Zachary,
I see that others have given some solid answers towards the larger schools but I also encourage you to look at design schools that offer a great education as well as "co-ops" or paid internships throughout your program. I'm a graduate of DAAP at University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH. It is a very reputable fashion design program that offers "co-ops" that build your resume while you're in school. I was able to work in NYC, Seattle (Nordstrom) and SF while in school. Very cool experience! There is also Kent State, also in Ohio, they offer a great program in design as well as product development and merchandising. Both schools will get you the education and the experience to move into a larger market without the higher tuition and competition for internships. Worth checking out! Good luck!
