What do Kinesiology majors learn and do?
I'm interested in majoring in Kinesiology. I heard it's a great stepping stone for other careers. I want to learn more about what kinesiology students study and learn. Is it a difficult major and what types of careers can come out of a degree in kinesiology? #college-major #major #college #kinesiology #career

I studied BS in Kinesiology Human Movement & Exercise Science. For a BS, for pre-major prerequisites, you'll need to take science classes: Human Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, Physics, Chemistry (all with labs), statistics and nutrition. Core requirements will be courses like: Anatomical Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Motor Learning, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Psychology, culture and movement course. Then you choose different courses for your focus: Exercise Science courses, Pre Physical Therapy, Coaching/ Teaching courses, Human Movement, Personal Training, Adaptive Exercise. It's not such a difficult major if you're good with sciences, each science course + lab so that can take longer to get prerequisites. It is a good BS for a stepping stone into whatever field that appeals to you. Generally, you'll want to additional education for a career.
