You make your own odds. If you're truly passionate about getting into real estate, you can accomplish anything. Set your own standards and do not rely on others. Make your own way, its all up to you.

Hello!
Real Estate is a great field to consider if you are a self starter and are self-driven! You really need to want to drive your own bus. The bonus of being in real estate is that you are your best asset! You do the marketing for yourself, you are really in control of how successful you can be!

Real Estate involves courses up front for your state, you typically have to pass a test to pass the courses, then pass a test to pass the state exam once you have done that, you apply to the state for a license and you have to choose a broker. Typically there are fees to join the Local Board, State Board and National Board to gain MLS access - all in, the costs are roughly $3000, I have passed the exam in 3 different states three separate times and the same for Auctioneer once. It is a career that you have to be passionate about and you have to be able to be a self starter that is true. Entreprneur attitude helps as it is your business - the hours are great and unlimited earning potential - but it is all about selling yourself as trustworthy if you an Introvert - probably not the career path for you - but if you like people and you like helping people acheive their dreams of owning a home then it may be a good fit!
