Although it will vary by the job type, I would guess asking about your flexibility, your willingness to do things that might not have been on the posting, and why you would be good at this job would included.

Be prepared for Behavioral Based Interview Questions. An example could be "Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a disgruntled customer?" You can "Google" Behavioral Based Interview Questions and you will get a lot of examples.

Also, show them that you are a cultural fit. Make sure they know you are a team player, motivated, and excited about the opportunity. Don't be afraid to ask questions and try to do some research on the company before the interview.

Carole’s Answer

When I was looking for a part time job the questions were similar to any other job, but a little more emphasis on your availability. I was asked one time: "Why do you want to work part time"

Evangeline’s Answer

Hello,

The only difference in interview questions between full time and part time employment status is "What is your availability?" Other than that, hiring questions are the same. Be prepared to answer, "Why would we hire you?", What's your long term and short term goals?", "Why do you want to work for our company?", "IAre you willing to work full time if we ask you?"

When answering questions, always expand your answers. Don't just say yes or no.

Best of luck to you!

Thank you comment icon Be prepared for behavioral based interview questions. You can "Google" that term and you will get a lot of examples. They may ask "Tell me about a time when you had to deal with an irate customer?" You would then give them an example. Also, try to show them that you are a fit into the position. Have a good attitude and don't be afraid to ask questions. ★ Scott Raether ★彡 Career Marketing Advisor ★彡 CPCC - CPRW
