It really depends on who you are and what the program you want to go into requires. When I took the GRE my programs really focused on Math/reasoning and not so much reading and writing. Needless to say I spent most of my time working on that subject as opposed to the other sections.
There is this theory called the 80/20 principle which essentially states that 80% of your time is spent on 20% of the material. That being said, you should A) focus on the material that you struggle with, since marginal benefit associated with studying an extra minute on something you are skilled at is smaller. B) when it comes to the test, the parts that you are struggling with will require more time (it's just a fact) so be sure to get through the other part of the test quickly and as accurately as possible.
Hope this helps

Glad you're thinking about Graduate School. The first thing to do would be to take a practice test(there's usually a couple of websites that offer short 10 min diagnostic test). Once you take the test and figure out what your deficiencies are, you can focus on those accordingly. I would borrow or buy a GRE book/question bank, So you can practice the types of question that you'll see on the GRE. Hope this was helpful.

FInd a recent editions of GRE Book(s) and get to work .
Also you can take a crash course via KAPLAN and agencies like those if you feel you are not fully prepared on your own. For that, you will have to dish out some cash but believe me when i say this, plenty of material out there on the internet.
Good Luck
