Hi Kourtney,
I work in the healthcare field. Healthcare is a very broad field, so here are a few things that you may want to think about. Do you want to work in direct patient care (such as being a doctor, nurse or physical therapist) or are you considering other areas (such as public health, pharmacy, research, etc). Many healthcare professional works in medical offices and hospitals, but there are opportunities in many other locations as well. For example, I have a master's degree in public health, and I have worked in community based public health as well as for health insurance companies. Healthcare professionals are in demand, especially those with specialized skills. Those in direct patient care may work long hours, but it can also be very rewarding. Good luck!

Kourtney,
I'm a relatively new PA working in family medicine. Were you asking about what to expect when you apply, while you're training, or when you're working after graduation? I feel like the answer also would be different depending on which specific profession you choose to pursue within medicine. Let me share these resources with you which I think might be helpful to you:
How to become a PA: https://www.aapa.org/news-central/2018/08/6-steps-become-pa/
What is a PA?: https://www.aapa.org/news-central/2018/08/6-steps-become-pa/
What do PAs do?: https://www.pasdothat.net/
Let me know if you have any specific questions I can help with.
