They most likely won't impact. However, many colleges do require to send a follow up transcript during the Spring so It is best to not let senioritis get to you. If your grade drops dramatically, they may ask for an explanation.

Hi Alex ! I also agree with previous answers! In your second semester of high school, most likely you will know what college you will be accepted to and are going as well. That being said you should continue to maintain strong grades as schools take your final transcripts until the day you graduate. This is for all schools, also graduate schools as well so be sure to keep working hard but enjoy your last year as well!

I hope this helps!
Best of luck future undergrad!

Josh’s Answer

For the admissions process, it will not likely have a huge impact. This will depend on when you receive an acceptance letter from the college because if you are already accepted before the second semester and send in your paperwork, it is more unlikely they will look at second semester grades. Although, some colleges will request grades as it wouldn't be too hard of a process for them to weed out students who don't take the last semester seriously which can hurt your character. Better to be safe than sorry and enjoy senior year and stay above the C's.
