The job outlook will continue to be Above Average because:
1. The employment growth rate will likely be average; demand should increase somewhat because of the trends toward the globalization of markets, corporate mergers/acquisitions, and the increasing complexity of financial transactions.
2. Although the retirement rate will likely be average, the number of retiring workers should contribute to job openings.
3. The number of job openings will likely match the number of job seekers.

I'm not sure about your area, but I would recommend looking into internships and jobs with local government (such as city and county jobs), as well as state and federal opportunities. In my organization (County of Santa Clara - located in Silicon Valley, California), we have positions ranging from Administrative Assistant and Office Specialist to Administrative Services Officer. A lot of public employees are retiring, so it's a good time to get your foot in the door.
