Hello! My first real full-time job was as a teacher in a daycare. This was a typical daycare setting - children split into classes based on age and milestones, a director in charge, parent/teacher communication, etc. This job was actually very challenging for me, especially at first, but it ended up being the most fulfilling and meaningful times of my life. It's important that you take the job seriously. If you don't have a lot of experience, certifications, etc., the director may start you as an assistant teacher - which is a great way to begin and make sure this is what you want to do.
Some of the challenges I faced were dealing with over controlling parents and handling the children's behavioral changes. It was the most rewarding job experience. If you're passionate about working with young children and will take it seriously, I say go for it!

If you're looking to get into childcare, starting work in a daycare is a great place. You'll learn a lot about how to run a daycare, building the curriculum for children, and how to work with children. A lot of people do go to college and study Child and Adolescent development to understand the psychological needs of children, which is also important at that age.

There are a lot of influences in day care. You get training in early childhood. This includes ongoing training and development. It helps you to network and create relationships which helps with effective communication. If you start with young children you will have major influence because they are still learning and growing and you are helping them to develop their social, emotional, and motor skills.
