If by chance you wanted to go into the mental health field, your degree will include a trainee experience. I am currently a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee while I pursued my degree (MA: Clinical Counseling). There are several agencies to chose to complete your trainee hours with. All with the intention of exposure to various cases and experiences.
It will help to narrow down which areas of behavioral health you’d like to focus on but MFT and SW (Social Work) both include trainee hours as part of your program.

Check to see if any of the Behavioral Health firms in your area have internships or if they would be willing to meet with you to discuss what they do. You could also try to find some groups on LinkedIn that you could follow and possibly ask questions to.
