There are courses for beauticians and cosmetology schools that can help you along the way to get to your goal. But before you even enroll, it's a good idea to get your feet wet by working at a salon that does the kind of work you want to do. As an assistant you can get an idea of what day to day life looks like and start making connections to other beauticians. Keep your options open too by trying different things and checking out different schools. Also, try to find someone in your community to help mentor you.
