Television reporters gather information ,investigate leads ,and write and report stories live or on the scene.
Occasionally they tape their news stories, for a late broadcast it is interesting job keep people informed with the latest news they must be full of energy all the time and out going

Hi Kevin,
Here's what I know: a television reporter (news reporter) provides on-ground news of a particular event. These events can be anything: some celebration, political rally, speech, war, crime, etc. On a day-to-day basis they have a lot of tasks which involves: creating their story, fact-checking (lots of it), their own due diligence in case if they're getting information from some external lead, report writing if it's a print media.
Some of the skills that a reporter might need involves: Writing, editorial skills, presentation, understanding of technology or domain if they're a specialized reporter. The media industry is highly dynamic and reporters often are tagged to a particular stream, for example some reporters specialize in crime reporting, some focus on events, some specialize in war or political events. Depending on what their specialization is, their day-to-day work might vary.
Hope this helps. All the best!
