Michele’s Answer

Starting, one foot in front of the other. Sounds basic but it's true. Every part of the journey starts somewhere. Then your skill, attitude, talent, work ethic, and tenacity will be used or tested every day. It will build your character as that build so does your career. This leads you to your core allies who will strengthen you and build you up. Then you look for someone in a position above you to assist and extra project above and beyond. Leaders are always looking for people to do their work and or contribute.(harsh but true) Look for the one that is screaming somebody else's name for m the rooftops. If they do that for them they will do the same for you. Avoid anyone who does not do that it means they are immature and insecure. Never let anyone take credit for your work even if subtly. If they do professionally correct that behavior in them and move on to another ally. Good Luck!

I am not sure I understand your question correct. Do you want to know what is the reason we need a career? Different people may have different answers. One of the main reasons is we would need to earn the monies to support our / our families live. We cannot live without monies but it is not the all the purpose for having careers.
After you have been spending many years in school & colleges, you would able to use your knowledge to contribute to the society. The world we are living in is built with the contribution from our ancestor, parents, etc. You may have children in the future. I believe you also want to have a better to your children.
I am not sure whether you have any concern to find out the career you would like to work in. You may consider on what you are interested to do, e..g. some related to your hobbies, favourite subjects, etc.
Hope I can answer your question!

Hi Junhua! If you are starting to plan your career, I really recommend you to start by focusing on your skills and the things that you love to do. what are your favorite topics at school, do you love any sport, maybe arts? Your ideal career will be a mix of what you are really good at and what you really love doing. if you already have an idea of what you want to do, you could look for colleges or programs to study and become a professional in that field. You can star following the successful people of that industry, studying their career and the choices that had lead them to were they're at.

And you should always have in mind that you can always experiment and try different things to get to know what you enjoy most and if you change your mind, you can always choose a different path :)

I hope my answer is useful!
Best of lucks!
Emilia.

One way you can start a career is to set short term and long term goals! It's very important to think about what your career goals are. You can set a timeline on those goals and figure out who in your life will help you achieve them. Keep in mind that your goals should be realistic so you can actually succeed in hitting your goals. For example, if you want to go to college but haven't started the application process yet, it's important to keep timeline in mind. Universities don't always allow for mid-semester applications. I hope this is helpful!
